yes things are going very well for me now which you probley saw from other post I made. I feel God definitly has shown favor on me and my family. I mean with my court situation I got out of it with no jail time, financially i have had people step up and buy my family food or give us money, my landlord told us to take our time with rent and that he would wave all late charges, I mean who else could that be except My God, i know there are people who don't believe in Him and I am not trying to offend them but I just wanted to tell how blessed I feel right now :)
I think that is the refreshing thing about this forum
we r not alone
none of use are alone
Good for you! Honesty is only way to go. Were they able to understand what you were saying? If so, how did they take it?
Formal education does not teach classes in the "school of hard knocks". I did not know anything about drug and alcohol addiction when it became evident to me that this was the prevalent problem that was destroying the household that I grew up in. It was only when I was in my early twenties that I was aware that addiction is an inherited behavior.
Schools don't teach anything that could be construed as controversial nor do they teach life skills classes. It is amazing how ill prepared high school and collge graduates are to enter the real world.
How is your recovery coming along. I hope things work out well for you as you seem very determined to stay with your recovery efforts. Stay in touch and let me know if I can help you in any way. I will continue to pray for you.
I finally told my children about what I was going through and my legal situation. I was amazed how suprised they were about prescription meds. They honestly had no idea about the addiction problem to prescription meds. They are 12 ,10, 8, I find that amazing that it is not taught in there school. I hope that the schools start warning kids about it and especially parents start locking up their meds..
no problem u quys I am glad u like it and hope it speaks to more people out there!!!!!!
Really nice to read. Thank you. Stay true to yourself.
