How long do withdraws last?

I have been taking whatever mg i could get, 5, 7.5 and 10's of hydrocodone for at least 6 mo. daily. Up to 6000mg. I am 48 hours into withdraw. I WANT to beat this...... I had an script for Ultram from a few months ago and was told if i start taking that it will help with the withdraws. The only thing is the reason i stopped taking them was because of a nauseous feeling and insomnia. What the heck though i have that already! Has anyone coming off hydrocodone used them to help relieve the withdraw symptoms?

Very poor choice to make - - check EmilyPost stuff or just put tramadol in the search engine - - narcotics to fix narcotics arent a good choice - and i cold turkey'd over a hundred mg's of methadone - - - have taken every pain pill in the book for years - my chronic pain has NOT been as bad since i quit the narcotics - - and I havent started PM or PT yet - - thats next week for therapy.....  Dont get suckered into the tramadol...........PM me if you wish.....

I wouldn't mess with the Tramadol. It's very addictive too.  The worst should be over in 5-7 days.  You will get a lot more responces if you post this on the "Substance Abuse Addiction Forum" (it's highlighted in blue at the top of this page).  This is the Addiction Social where we just kinda goof off. lol    Keep up the good work.
