Memorial Day holiday this week end. The start of summer and a holiday of beaches and bar b ques. Its also a good holiday to remember that we have boots on the ground throughout the entire world. Its a very poignant holiday for me. My own brother was shot on Memorial Day of '67.  And a close friend failed to return alive from a mission with me in '69.  These are only two little examples of sacrifices that were made so that you might do whatever you chose this weekend. And all these individuals only ask that you honer their memories this weekend. These people left familes with wives and infant children behind. They dont really ask for much. And its really quite a bargain for you people. Remember our Troops from today and from days past................

My gosh, I knew you were a stand up guy... My heart goes out to all of the brave men and women past and present who have made it a choice to fight for our country's freedom... My father in law is a Navy Veteran of more than 30 years, really a one of a kind man,  in his 70's and still going stronger than most men in their 20's... it says a lot about a person when they are willing to lay down their life for the freedom of complete strangers...

Thank God we have very BRAVE Men and Women, who are willing to lay down thier lives for our freedoms. My oldest brother fought in Vietnam and thank God came home unhurt, My son-in-law spent 16 months in Iraq, he came home with PTSD and TMI, was in 4 roadside explosions, let all of us take a MInute or 2 and say a prayer for all that have and are serving..this was such a great post

AMEN  Eagie...............It really does kinda pzz me off that people celebrate it as a few days off work, getting drunk, partying and not realizing that we have all that freedom because there are people like you and all of our guys.....and women, serving this country, putting their lives on the line for every single one of us.........

Great Post, as always...........

I wish everyone a safe and sober "holiday" weekend.

Luv,
Nauty..............

There is no greater sacrifice than giving ones life to ensure the safety and freedom of others..this weekend and everyday I will try to celebrate the heroes who have entered battle either bravely or even fearful...noone goes into war wishing to lose their lives but so many know this is a risk they take when they commit to the service they provide and never should that be forgotten...these are the bravest of the brave...the proudest of the proud and will always be my heroes....God Bless this beautiful country we live in and God Bless and protect those who are not here to celebrate this weekend with those they love....my thanks seems a trivial gesture to them but I offer it as all that I have....Happy Memorial Day....L
