I think it was NBC I was watching and one reporter kept saying "Sen.Kennedy had a seizure and spoiled the festivities of the luncheon". "SPOILED"?????? I'd like to spoil that reporters face! He couldn't find a better word? I don't know why his bad choice of words bothers me so much, but it does, and I kept hearing it, over and over.
Sen Ted Kennedy collapsed and was taken to the hospital when he was at the festivities and with Pres Obama. He is awake, but no more info at this time. Obamas walked down Penn Ave. Crowd went nuts.
My boss said she watched it and that although it appeared Obama was messing up words for the oath - he really didn't. He knew the words, it was the Chief Justice who was reading the wrong words and it confused Obama. So, Obama was right, the Chief Justice was wrong - LOL!!!
I missed it all...oh well. I tried to watch it on tv but there was a flood of people trying to do the same thing..there was a waiting list to get on, lol...too much for me.
Oh well,. guess I will have to wait to catch it on the news..
I'm stuck at work too and was not able to watch. We all tried to watch on the internet, but it wouldn't work! UGH! My boss called in to say she was staying home to watch the inauguration and then she was coming in - now why couldn't she have allowed all of us to do that? The office we're in is an administrative office for the Utah dental market. It's not like we have visitors. Nobody needs to answer the phones for a little while! Anyway, I was frustrated when she did that. If I was the boss, I would have told everyone it was there choice to stay home and then come in or come in their regular time, but that they would need to use PTO time.
One of the ladies here at work - brought her satelite radio in and we listened to Obama take his oath - at least we got to hear that!
