RX FRAUD!!

Hi everyone I really need advise NOW! sorry but I'm really scared I'm trying to be strong but I really can't anymore, well I been in the medical field for a long time and for the last 14 years I knowen a DR. and I worked for him for several years then left to worked to another state and for several yrs, then one day I asked him for a job and he said sure so started working, by then I was already addicted to pain pills offcourse he didn't know. He really likes me because I really do a good job for him BUT what he didn't know is that someone was  calling in rx in my name and other ppls names in my family and they were picked up by someone with my license and also put in my insurance. I been back working for him again for over 3 yrs and no problem so far but a ex employee told the doctor that she knew something was going on to check it out, so ofcourse he came to me and ask me if it was me doing it I said no and that I could do a drug test right that minute to prove it, so I did but he also requested his list of all RX's he has written in the past 2 yrs and there were all there so many of them for large amounts I continiued to work there trhough out the hole thing and it's been horrible he finally talked to me on Thu. and asked me again if it was me or if I knew how it was and I told him I didn't do it and I didn't know he really wants to belive me but I don't know I told him that everything points at me and that if he went to the police that for sure I will be the first suspect. But he said he has to make a report with a police even thought he already change everything about his RX and how to authorizethem and stuff.
He really need me right now really cause I'm the only one that is running the clinic cause we don't have a nurse and I do everything nurse, manager and billing and much much more is beeing almost 2 weeks and I can't stand it cause I know that he will go to the police and I will be DONE for sure. And I'm still working in his office and trustes me and we work like nothing is happening but I know that at any min. the police will come to work or home.
What do I do? Please Help any advise? What will happend to me? I haven't use lortabs since 01/09, I'm on sub, and going to therapy and with the help of a pchycologist.

Well I was honest to my Doctor even thought it was to late cause he already contacted the police and they told him that an investigator will call the doctor in a few weeks if not he will have to call back, the doctor already knew since this Friday I don't know what was the info he received friday that made him decided that it was me, so I told him and he wants me to continiued to work in the office as medical assistant and also still do part of my job untill he finds a medical assistant that we don't have right now and he ask me if I will stay till we find someone and trained someone, so I ask him if I do that if he will help me if it comes to me going to court and stuff if he would say what he said to me "that I was the best thing that happend to him and his practice" but now also is a desapointment and I understand I feel so so bad really, so he said he would I also ask him if he would consiter keeping me in the office like if I do monthly testing and he can talk to my pchycologist and stuff so he ask me for time cause he was confused and specially today he wasn't even suppost to be in the office cause is a big holiday for him today in his religion, So I said yes I will stay cause I feel that in the end it will look good, don't you think? and ? for you guys now that is in the police and remember they didn't caught me in the pharmacy the DR turned me in so now that is in the police what should I expect?

Like I said before the best thing to do is to be honest. Get a lawyer if you need to. The part that they are not going to buy is this....even if someone stole your wallet with your ID in it how would they know your families names and birthdates. See what I mean? Like I said before I understand the fear but truly the best policy is the truthe and for them to see you mean it.   I wish you the best and you can message me anytime.

He is telling you he is going to the turn it in so its sounds like he will do that.Being that everything was in your name it wont be very hard for the police to figure out.

I would talk to an attorney I would come clean with the doctor see if he can help you .He is going to find out I think it would be better coming from you

Thanks for all your very helpfull replies I really apreciate it and sorry I didn't answer back but I was finally able to go to sleep after nights of none sleep what so ever thinking about this. Well someone ask or said he would have to turned it in (the DR) but not really because the reason he found out is cause he just happend to pull his report he wanted to know how many RX of everything he had written, he never writes RX's for narcotics at all never unless is family maybe he is in a field were he dosen't need to so that is how he found out and of course he came to me cause my name was there my husbands and my sons and other 2. I told him that I have lost my wallet about 2yrs ago with my info and medical card and that is how the person that pickthem up was with my id and my name. Some pharmacys ask for id and some never did the main pharmacy used they just required signature. It all started in mid/07 then sttoped in 2/08 for 4 months then back on in 07/08 off and on till 01/09 was fine then relapse in 03/09 and then since 04/09 nothing  and the DOC was Hydrocodone 7.5mg, he is asking me he was me to tell him but I just don't know if that is going to make a diffrence really as of last week I called the pharmacy board and there is nothing in my file I'm not reported but he did tell me he would have to call the police about this. I know I have to get a attn but my husband saids I shouldn't do it yet. ughhhhh!!! God, if you can hear me PLEASE HELP ME, HELP US ALL PLEASEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Sorry I just sound like I'm going crazy but I really do my husband just got layoff, I just filed BK the only thing we have is our kids and our Home and if I go to jail we are so done DONE.

If he does not turn it in it will effect his med licence ,he may be asking you repeatedly so you will be honest with him ?So he can get you help that might change the out come .
