Reputation

I don't know about you guys, but since I have gotten clean, I have really started to think alot about my reputation.  You all know when we are using, we don't really think about our reputation or care what people think about it.  Unfortunately once we start getting clean, people tend to look at how we are now but continue to focus on our past.  I really worry about my reputation and how it will affect me and my children, but I found this quote and it kinda made me feel better so I wanted to share it.

"If I take care of my CHARACTER, my REPUTATION will take care of itself."

I think we beat ourselves up more for our mistakes than others.  I'm a strong believer that you can't live in the past, it robs you of a future.  
I serve a Mighty God and He sees my heat.  When I repent He tells me my sins are as far as the east is from the west, never to be remembered again.  That being said, we should learn to cut ourselves some slack.  
People can say what they want about me, I can live my life to prove them wrong.
