hahhahah! That is too funny I am getting this mental picture of IBKleen crossing her fingers and saying please, please, please, while marte is jumping up and down clapping her hands......lmao!!!
That's kinda the things I was digging for.......:-))~~~
Thank God I am not the only finger counter !! and the only 47 year old one ..to boot!...:-))~~I have a whole system. My fingers count like a calculator, just in there own world..unfortunately I can't use it in public, which is most of the time that I need it...:-(~~~Well, I don't feel so bad now. I even asked my mom who has worked in retail for 30 years and she said she still does it.......Scared of That !!!!
Hugs~~~right back at you Janny !! Hope all is well......**smooches**
Luv,
Nauty............
I allways sing Disneysongs. I know at least 2 songs from almost every Disneymovie and sing them whereever I am. I also often clap my hands and jump while laughting if something excites me :P Think I really have alot childish about me...
Of course I still count on my fingers...I have gained too much weight to reach my toes...LOL
Another thing is still do is cross my fingers and say "please, please". It still seems to work just as good as it did when I was little....
Funny post...thanks!
LOL!!!! I'm a finger counter too! Hubby can figure it out in his head and there I am using my fingers to figure stuff out! LOL!!!! And, I just turned 47 in June! LOL!!!
I still like to giggle when somethings strikes me funny!
And, I love to watch Disney cartoons. When my niece was here in February, I watched Enchanted a zillion time with her as well as the Tinker Bell cartoon and honestly get into those movies. We just watched Dr. Doolittle Million Dollar Mutts the other night and loved it! I am a HUGE kid at heart! Luckily, hubby loves those movies too. We want to go see the new Ice Age movie too!
I hope you're doing well V! Miss you and love you!!!
Hugs,
Janet
I love the Andy Griffith show, Beverly Hillbillys, all those shows I watched as a child...Barney Fife is my HERO.......lol
PS
Im gonna PM you and send you my playlist on this music site if you want . I Have a TON of good 80's songs on there (and other stuff too)!
wow we have a lot in common! LOL I love ALL those shows and bands too! I also escaped a long abusive relationship (I think ive seen you on the abuse forum too recently! I post there once in awhile as well)
Im definitely still stuck in the 80s LOL
I still watch Tom & Jerry every time it comes on Cartoon Network! That was always my favorite cartoon when I was a kid and still is, along with Spongebob =)
I think I'm stuck in a Way Back Machine or something because I have watched I Love Lucy EVERYDAY for years and years, Roseanne and Three's Company. I also LOVE 80's hairband music like Cherry Pie (Warrant), Wanted (Bon Jovi), anything Metallica in that era, etc...
I hope I'll always be a child at heart even though I've been through so much as an adult, such as fighting addiction, being in a physically abusive relationship and survived it, had a kidney removed, found my biological mother, things like that.
LOL Nauty Im a finger counter still too. I may be good with spelling and words, but numbers are so NOT MY THING! I suckk at math so bad its pathetic.
and yes, I do still watch cartoons (scooby doo is one of my favorites lol) sometimes. I also like old re -runs of shows i watched when I was growing up (Roseanne, and dare i say one more time---Three's Company-- and a bunch of shows like that) I still love 70's and 80's music along with my other musical preferences too.
I love to watch Disney films. I also still count on my fingers and I know someone who is your age, Nauty, and still has a blanket that she plays with the ribon on to relax while she is watchig tv.
I think we should embrace our inner children and talk them through life's difficulties. I think that in embracing our inner child, we heal ourselves somehow of the lies we believed while growing up....lies like, "i have no value", "no one really cares", "everyone i love leaves me"...and so on.
I like that I still feel 16 sometimes or that I get excited when "the wizard of oz" comes on TV once a year (even though I own the DVD) and that I screetch with joy when someone gives me anything with a penguin on it...and I hope when I am 80, I am still counting on my fingers.
Love,
Debbie
