dear addiction

Dear addiction,
I'd like to say first, that I don't need you. You have made my life a living he@%, and it's time that you leave me alone. Yes, we did have our moments of superficial happiness, but it only lasted a fix at a time. I loved you, addiction, but now I love myself more. I'll be the first to admit, yes, you changed me... some may think for the worst, but I know now... for the better... this will be my last ever contact with you, addiction. For I don't need you lingering in my thoughts. You have no reason to remain with me. I will no longer allow you to define me. So fair well my once beloved friend, I'm a better person now, and your demon a$$ no longer lingers in my veins...
Forgetting you,
Michelle

P.S.
YOU SUCK ADDICTION!!!!

Bettermomma...

Proud of you for breaking up with your addiction!  Remember..It will always be a part of you but you don't need to allow it to define who YOU are...

Thanks, it always seemed to help if I typed a letter or even wrote a letter... to... sometimes god, my mother, my father... anyone... this time I had to write one to addiction. Maybe now my addict mind will quiet down since I finally got that out in the open for the world to c... I am feeling better... Hhmm maybe it did help... Idk but I hope
