You are always cooking something and it always sounds good!! What time should i be there for dinner?? haha
I'm on my way!
I don't know about tonight..since it's supposed to be above 10 degrees maybe steaks on the grill..
I'm due for chili and promised my wife I will this weekend..rough recipe:
2 large cans tomatoe puree
1 large can diced tomatoes (sometimes I reverse it)
3 maybe 4 large onions chopped
2 bell peppers chopped
2-3 jalepenos (depends on if I'm mad at my wife or not) chopped
2-3 anaheim green peppers chopped
a whole mess of garlic (7-8 cloves?)
chili powder
cumin
sugar
2lbs hamburger (browned)
2-3 small cans kidney beans (sometimes pinto beans)
chop up all the veggies while the tomatoe stuff is sitting in the pot..once you start dumping them in, start heating on low so they can simmer and all get to know each
other..brown hamburger, drain and dump in...drain beans and dump in...stir it up..little darlin' stir it up..oh..wrong topic..start adding chili powder, cumin (I start with a couple tablespoons, maybe a teaspoon or 2 of sugar) let it simmer an hour or so...taste as you go along..add more chili powder and cumin (and sugar if desired..cuts down the acidity)
Serve over tortilla chips, top with chopped uncooked onions, shredded cheese and sour cream (if desired)..my family loves it. I have to tone down the heat for my wife, however.
Jim
probably frozen pizza........:-(((~~Chili is gross......lol.. Every since I looked into the hole of porta pottie. I've never been able to eat chili again.........:-/
Nauty..........
Left overs tonight :) Ribs with veg casserole.. Will probably make some rice and a little fruit on the side AHH what to do with my day.. When I make spegt or chili I make enough to freeze 4 zip lock bags as a way of not cooking :)
It ain't glamourous, but we're havin' salisbury steaks (Peanuthead loves 'em), mashed potatoes for the man, mac n' cheese for the ladies, and some fresh bread that I'll make with the bread machine...it's possible that salad could be involved. I'll be baking some cinnamon streusel muffins that are just fine for dessert, snack, or breakfast for the youngins or the man..
Can U really freeze tomatoes?.....hmm?........
I am making spaghetti and sausage. With garlic bread and probably ceasar salad. And xmas cookies for dessert cause we are putting up our tree tonight....

LMAO you are toooooo funny!!!
and Nauty yes you can freeze tomatoes. But probably not the way youre thinking of. You dont just pick a fresh tomato and open up your freezer and chuck it in there, LOL. YOu have to can them or process them first. I used old orange juice cartons to put tomato puree in from our garden tomatoes and then just thaw them out when i want to use for recipes such as this chili.
I'll be having frozen pizza at Nauty's. Probably the cheap one like Totino's. LMAO
LOLOL...they are the best pizza's...
I agree the cheaper the better. I've tried the more expensive ones and they put that awful cornmeal on the bottom.......Yuck!! I love totinos !!!>>>>>>slap a little ham and pineapple>>>>oh yeah>>>>most important>>>you forgot< Mary......The Vino !!! Salute!
Dang keyboard......grrrrrrr
salute salute !!
Nauty...........
hey i like Totinos too!! i always doctor them up a bit with loads of extra shredded cheese, mushrooms, olives, ham or whatever i have on hand, and of course extra pizza sauce to dip into. I always have to have like a gallon of pizza sauce per square inch when i eat pizza, lol
I'm making dinner for my niece's b-day tonight...So its home made lasagna, garlic bread and a salad. And of course a b-day cake..With white chocolate icing and a raspberry filling.
Gyros. Pita bread, lamb slices, cucumber sauce, lettuce and onions.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang bear...i just love a man that can cook. mine doesnt even grill :(
did someone say ham and pineapple on pizza?? Im in!!!!!
Oh good lord man! You're one of THOSE? lol....pineapple on pizza son? Okay, you can have your own special pizza and I'll be eatin' the one with lotsa MEAT on it! Should I be eatin' that right now? My a$$ thinks not.
Um, I 2nd that Jacq.....I HATE pineapple on pizza???? I hate fruit on pizza. I am a regular, Extra cheese, mushroon, pepporini and sausage kinda person.......NO PINEAPPLE.
And here is a quick recipe that I have been making for years, I call it chicken s h i t, but I am sure that it has another name. Its chicken, stuffing and cream of mushroon soup. SO GOOD. Cut up the chicken, and layer it on the bottom of a casserole dish, then put the stuffing on top of the chicken. Put another layer of chicken and then another layer of stuffing, then top it with a can of cream of mushroon soup, cook in the over for 1 hr at 350 and thats it. ITS SOOOO GOOD and my family loves it. My g-mom used to make it for me and I got it from her. But I saw the same recipe on Cambells. com...lol
Its good though...and so easy.
yes, pizza is pepperoni, sausage, cheese and maybe mushrooms. period. My daughter always wants to order BBQ chicken pizza...ptooooey.
Jim
