I love this..it's great to hear about unknown places..at least to me..I see no reason to travel outside of the good ole USA when there is sooo much to see. My $$ is limited however..lol
Erin- I actually was very fortunate to be able to go to the Grand Canyon,Sedona, and Jerome . I actually did quite a bit in AZ. We went to Sunset Crater, Old Tuscon, Flagstaff, Scottsdale, some sort of indian ruins around the canyon..But ya know..when we went to the Canyon there was a huge cloud covering the entire bottom, the locals said it was a natural phenomina that occured once every 10 yrs..is that true?? Also in Phoenix I met Alice Cooper at the bar called The Mason Jar and bought a Kachina doll at his store The Alice Cooper Shop. I would love to go again. I am really into indian stuff etc..maybe one day i will make it there and can come visit..
Oh yeah and my Uncle owns Tringali sanitation co. in Phoenix or wherever else..have you heard of them??
If you decide to go to BFE I'll go with ya..........LOL
Oh if you haven't been to Sedona AZ or the Grand Canyon those are two places you can do in the same day and they are breath taking!! I'm heading there on Monday!! I go 3 or 4 times a year and I see or do something new everytime!
Happy Traveling
Hmmmm.... maybe California might not be such a good idea right now unless you like to shake rattle and roll.
Also in Florida there's Bush Gardens and you could visit Mary and Magi too !
Well, In Florida theres Disney World, Seaworld, fishing, boating, golf, swimming with Dolphins, everything in the Keys, a few Indian Casinos and alligators.
I actually have been on the Blue Ridge Pkwy..It's beautiful..I LOVE the Smokeys..and the Rockies.
Where are the catskills..(I think thats what they are called)..
There are so many cool places. I am sure there has to be something in every state.
I would like everyone to say whats the attraction of the state they live in..
I went to rehab l5 miles from Ft. Walton, in Gulf Breeze...not that you'll need it or anything...... but since I live in north Florida so it isn't much of a trip for me..... :>)
Never rule out the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smokey Mtns National park - -
that sounds like fun!! I hope you and your wife have an awesome time..
In two weeks we will be spending a few days at Ft Walton Beach FL, white sands, warm water, great diving and we will get to see our son and daughter-in-law too. I am a water lover so anytime there is warm clear water I am ready to go.
Alaska would be very cool...I wonder what a good time of year is to go..
Sara- we need an rv for sure..who is comming??..No kids allowed..LOL. The Black Hills is where I'm going ..I think..that sounds great and it's not that far. My next stop will be in AZ..maybe..business trip..LOL
My dad used to teach winter survival in Alaska for the army. They would camp on a glacier for 2 weeks. he loved it and the pics were breathtaking.
I vote for Alaska; you can walk on a lot of the water there, and I hear it is beautiful. My niece lives there and I'm going to visit her if I ever get caught up at work.....or in six years when I retire, which ever comes first.....
I wished we could take a vacation and soon. My oldest (16) is a finalist in a state jr. miss scholarship program and we leave friday to go to the program. she is competing for the state title. She has been gone for a week preparing and I can't wait to see her on Saturday.
