I just wanted to let you all know that Mike's house didn't survive the hurricane. He was able to get some of his personal belongings but other than that he has lost everything else. His girls are safe though. He has had a very hard time finding a place to stay, Anyway, I just want to ask for prayers for him. Thanks

I will pray that God will supply all of his need to His riches and Glory...until you've been through a major hurricane you just can't imagine it's power....I couldn't watch the news a few years ago after all of the ones after getting a direct hit...it is truly devestating...

Thats what I am talking about.  The media was focusing on New Orleans.  They didn't show stuff like that. They didn't care, and didn't let us know people in other places lost their homes !!

thanks everyone. I will be talking to him in a little bit. He lived just south to where the eye went through..I can't imagine having to go through that. He has been through quite alot lately but he did get his family out of there and took them to family in Mississippi. He is staying somewhere in Northern Louisiana but is pretty depressed ,I sure don't blame him. He doesn't really want to stay where he's at..nothing like having your own place..He said that there were pictures on the web.I'll have to find them..I will let him all know that your thinking of him..thanks again everyone.

Hey everyone..I just talked to Mike again..he is feeling a little better but still has no place to live.  Right now he is meeting with insurance adjusters etc..I guess the house is not damaged structurally but there is alot of damage..no windows, roof, etc..it could take forever he said to even find someone to do all the repairs that will need to be done. What a mess...so please keep the prayers comming for him and his family..he doesn't have easy access to a computer at the moment but he said he would try to get to one and post sometime later...thanks everyone...oh yeah and he said thankyou to everyone...

Thank you guys a ton. i appreciate the thoughts and prayers they are helping much believe that. I have major dmage to my house and vehicle as well as losing much personal property but I am able to come home as of evening before last and now have the internet up and running. I luckily have a generator but the lights came on yesterday but shut down abit ago hopefully to get back up again soon. Windows broken and boarded up lost much of roof but it is covered for now as wel as the norm in something like this I have much more damage than Katrina did but that is what insurance is for so I am waiting for the adjustor and take it a bit at a time to get back together possibly to sell and move back to the midwest. Who knows we'll see. Thanks again and please keep praying for  all of us and importantly the ones who lost the majority as I did but have no insurance or resources to recover to be able to have the normal necessities. I know I will have the requirements ie food etc and pray for the elderly or the severily physically impaired. My girls as well as myself are all safe and suffered no physical injuries so God was watching he just said i needed to pretty darn near rebuild my house I guess. LOL I just had so much work done here not even six months ago and to see it all ripped to shreds does suck but at least we are alive to see it ripped apart. LOL Love you guys you are all tops in my book.......

When you mentioned about the work you had done on the house, that's when we met, remember? You were chatting with newmanagement and i kept interupting telling you to put down the power saw...you were trying to figure out how to do the flooring project...ahh yes the good 'ol days... ;) All that work you did...new carpet in June wasn't it? Well, here's what I know for sure...You're right where you're supposed to be. God's got it covered and figured out so you don't have to. There, that was simple wasn't it?
At any rate, glad to hear you and yours are alive and well.
