Favorite WD Song?

There are a lot of posts that bemoan the process of WDing (and understandably so)...but as I was taking a walk today, I decided to load some old music on the Ipod and hear what music sounded like before I went down this path....I came across what I think is now my favorite WD song....it is titled YOU WILL KNOW by Stevie Wonder...you can youtube or google it.

Anyhow, I thought it might spark some interesting responses, as well as get our minds off the misery, even if just for a minute or two.

Well, it's not a WD song, and it's certainly not a happy or uplifting one, but if ever I wa't to remind myself of all the good reasons for keeping those I love away from drugs, I listen to 'The Needle and the Damage Done' by Neil Young, written after he'd lost two members of his band.

Not cheery but it works for me, and makes me more determined than ever.

I don't have any particular song...."Promised Land" By Springsteen, "The River"...just about any music is fine with me...as long as it's The Grateful Dead, Springsteen, Bob Marley...Cowboy Junkies..lately I'm so stuck on Springsteen it's hopeless to listen to much else.

I was listening to a group called ATB from Germany during my detox.  I was also introduced to Lady Gaga of all things that week - what a way to remember her by.....but there are a few songs that will always take me back to that time - both good and bad memories.

@ang, Agreed very good...Im not a real big fan of Eminem,(just not that into rap..lol) But a very good album. I like "Going thru changes too.

That verse is my favorite in the song, I'm not certain as to why, suffice it to say that it's odd.

The song is SO completely and totally bizarre that it took my mind off my "sh1t" and helped me through my w/d's.
