What I do know is I have never personally met an alcoholic or drug addict in the middleof their addiction that is happy. I have met sober people that are happier than the normal people on this earth.

Back I deal with the same bs when using I used alcohol at times to beat the wds as much as it does. Some but not much.. Then after that I end up dting off alcohol and those are horrific enough. I went into the hospital this time over two months ago now to not turn to drink instead of scoring dope as well. I wanted neither one and did not know how to do that. Well as I said it was the hospital for me as I have been fighting this for awhile then fighting trying to kick it tooo long. U no??

yes well you know life is going to be different now and we will never be the same. it changes us. who is to say what is normal anyway.

"harmony" is what i strived for after quitting. being content with myself and others around me. finding where i fit in now. and i think i did succeed with that. i was very happy with myself until the drinking got out of hand. now i have to deal with all the bad decisions i have been making while drunk and what people are telling me is withdrawal from alcohol.

it has been only almost 2 days now. i do not want to ever drink again and i am being told that i should wean off and not go cold turkey. that *****. but it is so dangerous with alcohol and i refuse to go to a doctor or rehab.
