drugs and music

I would like to know if anyone else here starts to crave because i know a lot of us put music on to relax but what happens when the song is about drugs or taking drugs there are so many songs out there like that to name one its simply called heroin by lou reid that seems to glorify drugs i just wondered if effected you or is it just me and may be it could start us to crave i try not to listen to them but as iv said there are so many what do you do if a song comes on ? Oh how could we have forgot about the eagles especially desperado, hotel california and lying eyes, james says these 3 songs sum his life up. Desperate for heroin, hotel california is about being caught in the trap of heroin and struggling to get out (as they say in the song "you can check out but you can never leave" as all us addicts are like that we need to be careful always and trying to hide addiction behind lying eyes. Also Chris Rea, and of course Eric Clapton, Dire Straits. Oh ill be here all day. Ill be back with some more later too. Oh and who can forget Jim Morrisson and the doors. May he rest in peace as he had a troubled mind, but thats where his amazing songs came from. Be back soon with more lol

Oh i have a ton of rocker in me!!!  Ahhh Meatloaf........brings back warm memories of the backseat!!  We saw ACDC last January and had stage floor seats.  It was out of this world!!!  The Eagles have good music too.  I listen to Blackfoot alot too, Wishing Well, Run and Hide, Train Train.....The Cars have some pretty upbeat music.....gotta think about some more here......

Your a bit of a rocker sara eh ? I used to like AC/DC in my younger days. That was a long time ago. In fact the album i had was back to black (that shows you how long ago it was). We also like meatloaf ( i love paradise by the dashboard light). It takes me back to when james and me were young lol. Im into a lot of 60s music though. I like the old stuff. I like music called northern soul, although i dont think many of you will know that type of music unless your from the UK. We like Coldplay and U2. We went to see both of them, they were brilliant but Pink Floyd was amazing. We love Roger Waters own stuff (Pros and cons of hitchiking, Radio Kaos etc). We like Bob Dylan and james also likes the old timers like Bobby Darin(Mack the knife), Frank Sinatra(My Way, Thats Life) Dean Martin(Little Old Wine Drinker Me). I do like them myself i must admit. We like a big range of music. We tend to listen to all different types it depends on the mood we think but we have had to change a lot of the way we perceive the words as we listened to them while taking drugs too but we couldnt stop listening to music now, it would kill us. Keep coming with the suggestions. James listened to the song Gizzy, he liked it and its ok it didnt give him a craving lol.......Kim   P.S  Amaryllis  I will survives not corny, its true so dont worry about it, if you asked most people i think most of them like it, mostly everyone i know loves it ......Oh and who could forget the Motown stuff....Brilliant

I listen to a lot of pink floyd but when i know a song is about taking drugs i try to turn the words round to deter me but there are so many but the one that scares me most is LOU REID (HEROIN) it gloryfies taking HEROIN so i dont listen to that one period THE BOSS is another of my fav bands but you are wright lots of sad ones but my all time great JOHNNY CASH now he was a very talented man wasTed a lot of his life in prison but i must admit when im down or craving im a bit like pump up the volume and lose myself in the music thanks for your choice of songs it was great to read the answers to my post James
