drugs and music

I would like to know if anyone else here starts to crave because i know a lot of us put music on to relax but what happens when the song is about drugs or taking drugs there are so many songs out there like that to name one its simply called heroin by lou reid that seems to glorify drugs i just wondered if effected you or is it just me and may be it could start us to crave i try not to listen to them but as iv said there are so many what do you do if a song comes on ? No i didnt think it did have anything to do with that becca or some of the other things spoken about but you learn something new everyday eh. Neil young (Powderfinger) is 1 of my favourites too, johnny cash, u2, coldplay, oh the list is endless. Ill make my list and pm them to you and you can pm me yours. Although we havent heard of a lot of american or canadian bands, but gizzy is telling me some canadian bands. This gives us something else to do in which we can help each other. You never know we could start a thread for songs lol.............James

Ok you'll have to excuse my spelling but I like chumbuwamba - tubthumping you all know it "I get knocked down but I get up again your never gonna keep me down" wow guys I sound gooooodd in print I got nice pitch and everything.

LOL you sure do sound good.
Chris Rea  Road to hell  can be used if you choose the meaning of the song in the right way. IE It makes you think of them or it basically tells you that drugs are the road to hell.
P.S i posted about the music and wondered where the thread went but i just found it here. I don't know why as there are other people who have mentioned music in recovery before but it doesn't get moved so I'm not to happy but well just pm each other with our lists. Mind you james said at least it got moved here and not removed completely like his last one

Yea a think we are starting somthing new here but a good thing and we would love others to join in dont know why it was moved as James has answered posts about peps asking if music helped the cravings when you had one
James only asked if any songs caused you to crave so were was the problem lol but slamed it was and slamed it is oh well love your soberiety though becca a think we will get lots of action ha ha Kim x
