Hey everyone! I can joyfully say that my son has been clean and sober since last July 2008!
Just a little history for anyone who was not here way back then. My son was addicted to everything from the time he was 15 till age 26. In 2006 he went on Methadone maintenance for a major painkiller addiction. After two years he decided to try a long and low suboxone detox. He quit Methadone at the end of March 2008 and took his last .25 mg of sub on July 29,2008. He married in August  and his son was born on June 11, 2009!! He has maintained employment with the same company for these past 3 years, bought a cute litle town house and is finally happy with himself and his life.
I just want to share this with everyone here so that you will know that it can be done! There is hope- never stop trying! You CAN do it! lovepat

So glad to hear from you and with such great news.  You've got your son and a grand baby too !  You must be beaming with pride.  I've missed you around here. I so enjoyed your political posts.  Keep in touch.

Wow what a great story! I too have been clean for a yr although I haven't married, or bought a house. It sure gives me inspiration. God bless you and your family

Thank you for letting us know :)) Whoo Hoo I'm so happy and proud of your son.. what determination and strength he proved to get to this point.. I feel very proud of him.. Also very Happy for you Mom.. You have your wonderful son back with his growing family.. I'm truly grateful for this.. May his and your joy be great and life is kind for when seen through our eyes..
