my 9 yr old just joined a junior naturalist program, at our local university, he is learing about rehabilitating squirls, i will show him your pics
we did participate in guinea pig rescue for a while, it became over-whelming so i had to give that up
xo
Mtgoat- nope the squirrel was dragged into our yard by one of our cats! Not sure if she fell out of her nest (most likely because it would be hard for a cat to climb up and pluck a squirrel from a nest as they are very high up in trees). ANyhow I botttle fed her just like a baby several times a night of pet formula milk and she was our pet for many years before she peacefully died in her little hollowed out log she loved to sleep in.
(on a side note, I did used to do wildlife rehab in a way for years. We lived in a heavily wooded area and i was always finding injured animals of all kinds. Id take them to the wildlife rehab center. My friends used to joke and say i needed to put a siren and flashing red lights on my car because i was running up there so often with hurt animals LOL.
Jacqui- thanks =) I wish i could upload newer pics of them but i dont have a camera port and wire here so i can only used my burnt CD's from the other house to upload photos from.
Your boys are adorable! I'm glad we finally got to see them! : )
i like the squirl, do you participate in wildlife rescue? how did you tame that little devil?
