21 Days no Hydro Today

Hi everybody -  Day 21 for me no Hydro.  Things are looking brighter.  Still have bouts of anxiety and depression and wake up about every 2 hours during the night....  I had a little run-in with Ambien along the way.  Took 10mg for 12 nights then realized it was really making me crazy, and probably hurting my Hydo my withdrawal progression.  Stopping the Ambien had it's own set of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms....  My Doc says I should be back to normal in about 4 weeks.  Looking forward to a full nights sleep and bet that will make everything better.  Good luck to everybody.

Congrats on your clean time!!!  So happy to hear you got off the ambien and your doctor is aware of what you are doing.  One of these nights you will get that sleep and you will feel like a million dollars!!  Hold that clean time sacred~~sara

welcome.  for me it was crazy feelings and and 3 or 4 days of withdrawal (again)!  

my sleep is not normal yet.  i wake up about every 2 hours.

thanks for the info.. its really good to know.. I have melatonin as well.. The last thing I want to deal with are those crazy feelings along with my withdrawal from methadone..
This was a big help.. are you back to normal sleep yet??

Hey Rich -

Congrats on your 15 days!!!  Ambien put me to sleep for 3 hours at a time.  After several days I had bad nightmares, sweats and was a bit psycotic - I didn't like it at all.  Yea, not sleeping is difficult, but the Ambien was worse.  Ambien withdrawal was not pleasant for me - funny head, heart rhythm issues, and just felt bad - all after/along with my hydro withdrawals...  Definitely, not worth it for me.  I use 2 mg melatonin now - it's effective and SAFE.

congrats on 21 days.. Thats AWESOME!! Im on day 15 clean from my methadone handcuffs..
NO SLEEP *****... I as well was prescribed ambien for sleep..  I have taken it the last 5 nights.. What side effects did you notice??

Congrats!  And I hope LOTS of people read this.  I see many new people on here who get mad cause we don't advocate things like valium and ambien etc.  THIS IS THE REASON!  It does come with it's own set of trouble.  You're lucky you realized it when you did!  Good job.  Congrats again!!!  You can do this!
