Thats so wonderful! Congratulations! I'm so very happy for you!
Thank you all for your kind words, I appreciate it. I wish you all the best of luck as I have been following pretty much all of your stories on here.
Nursey, it is very hard to stay postive, especially in the beginning stages. I cant stress enough how important time is in our journeys. Of course you can do things to help the process, such as eating properly, vitamins, exersize... But time is going to be the ultimate healer. Our body and mind needs the time to fix itself. So with that said, be motivated that you are on day 18 and you will hit that turn around point soon. Coult be at 30 days could be at 45. BUt you are right there. It does get better!!! I promise!!!!
A big congrats from me as well! I am so happy for you!
100 days!!!! SPECTACULAR! I know how tough it is to get to where you are. It's all sunshine and flowers from here. Enjoy your forever clean days.
Congrats on 100 days! It's nice to know you are doing good cuz at day 18 sometimes it just feels hopeless! I try to stay positive but it's just hard.
Huge congrats Sunny! 100 days is awesome! Stay strong and continue moving forward! All the best!
100 days is monumental. Be proud of how far you've come and the journey you're on. Many congrats.
I was reading the other day about those that received the Congressional Medal of Honor as was touched by the below story and just to compare the senseless waist of time abusing meds. He also was a suvivor:
" Although bleeding profusely due to the loss of his left arm and sever wounds to his right arm, chest and left leg, he staggered back to his original position on his gun-well and took on the enemy forces under fire.
Through a resolve that over came the shock and intolerable pain of his injuries, he remained at his position until he had eliminated the hostile forces."
SOMETIME I THINK WHAT HAVE I DONE LATELY!!!!!!!!!
yes you are on the Sunny side,,,
good job
Hey Dave, I totally agree.Being a survivor is great. I kind of thrive on it. As many do, no matter if you survived a tour in Iraq or something of that nature. (I am not comparing the two but just trying to get that point across). Its funny because when I started 7 years ago in my area I didnt know much about opiates. I was 20 when I started. So I took one one night not really knowing the consequences except I knew it wasnt the "right thing to do". But it of course sprialled. And yes, not much from the time put in. But God has a plan for us all...
You know Sunny, to me one of the great things in life to be a survivor. The sad part about all of this is that we did not know the consequence of taking to many pills I think addiction and withdrawal is such a stupid waste of time and the weird part is that we have experienced a thing in life that gave us absolutly nothing for all the time we put into it!
Best to you
