You did a hard thing already you got off the pills. The next few days are going to be really rough but post alot .Did you get any vitamins and other things imodium Epsom salts take lots of long hot baths .Try to get out and walk if you can exercise of any type really had a positive effect on me. When you get closer to the end of the week you are going to want to start thinking about long term recovery care .However for now you just worry about an hour at a time I believe you can do this !!!!!!!

When I went cold turkey (on day 564 now)... the worse days for me were the first 36 hours... then it subsides slowly...  hang in there.

First of all, congrats on your decision to get clean.  Thats a huge step in itself.  I highly recommend the Thomas recipe for the couple weeks of your detox.  I tried detoxing twice without knowing of the Thomas recipe and was unsuccessful.

It was on my 3rd attempt that I read about the Thomas recipe and followed it systematically.  It SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the withdrawal effects.  I'm now 24 days clean and never looking back.  You can find the recipe on the health pages (there is a link on the top right corner of this page).

I was taking about the same daily amount of percocet as you.  Depending on how much your last dose was, you will really start to feel it coming on at around 18 to 24 hours.  You have to be mentally prepared for it and know in your heart that this is the right decision.  If you truly want to get away from being a slave to the pills, you WILL make it through and come out on the other side.  The worst of the withdrawal symptoms only last 4-5 days (at the very most).  I started feeling much better at just about the 4th day.

I would keep coming to this forum for support.  It really helped me get through the mental part of the withdrawal after the physical symptoms subsided.  If you want this enough, you will make it.  I look back now and can't believe how long I put the detox off in fear of the withdrawals, but it wasn't all that bad.  Just think of it as being sick for a week or two.  Best of luck and keep posting...
