Have you shared in meetings about your confusion? I can really relate to your post. The steps seemed really confusing to me too. I just work them with a sponsor to the best of my ability. I found that sing the step working guide and basic text really helped me to understand them. All we can do is our best. Ten as we work the steps again and again we can fine tune our process. It won't ever be perfect, it's a lifelong program. I would start by getting some of the literature and sharing your thoughts in meetings. Best wishes

Hi & Welcome,

I do attend meetings regularly and i do work the steps. The steps are designed to be worked through a sponsor. You need someone who has worked them and can give you guidance. If you are trying to understand them alone it is understandable how they can be confusing. Also, having a sponsor is having a life line. I first suggest you choose a sponsor and then see if there are not step meetings in your area where you can get a better understanding. I hope it all works out for you and congratulations on getting clean!!!!!!!!!
