Am I over thinking this?

I was taking 2 to 3 10/325 hydrostatic a day for about a year, per perscription. Last Thurs I cut my dose to 15 mg for 2 days. Then 10 mgs for 2 days and then 1 day at 5 mg & 1 day at 2.5 mg.  I have not taken anything since yesterday at 8 am.  My mind is a little fuzzy and I could not sleep the last 2 nights.  Diarrhea only 2 today. Other sites have scared me so much, I wish I would have found this site a week ago. My question is, will this get worse on the 3rd day like they say?  I have decided arthritis is much better than dealing with this fear. Thanks

Hi PF ,  Good 2 day start , Your going thru  normal W/D that everyone goes thru .
Every one is different some with big doses for many years but you were at a low dose per day and should not take that long to recover .
I was at about 5 x your daily dose and felt better each day after day#4
by day 11  I took my wife to a comedy club . No not 100% but i felt so good and happy again ,
I think the 1st 100 hours are the hardest , after that it eases a bit day by day .
You must eat and drink lots of water to heal , If you just can't eat drink Ensure . See the Thomas recipe below botton right side in the health pages
Fear is far worse then the so called day killer # 3-4 will be . Fear is the drug telling the brain to panic .

You can do this , Stay positive , Fight hard , Next week you will post feeling better at day 6-7 . ..... Ron

Hi Picketfence, and welcome! I'm so glad that you did find this site and that you have posted! Are you over thinking this? Well, perhaps! I know that when I detoxed I tended to make things much worse in my mind than they actually were! I swore I was going to die, I knew I could not make it! I took everything I read, and magnified it 100 times! The truth is that everyone and every detox is different!

The best advice I can give you is to try to relax and just take things as they come! Will it get worse on day 3? It might, or it might not! For me, day 3 was one of the most difficult days! However, it was not nearly as bad as my mind told me that it would be!

The key, at least for me, is to stay positive! Stay as active as you can! Get up and moving! Avoid sitting around and watching the clock!  Take short walks outside and breathe the fresh air! Stay well hydrated and nourished! Keep posting here with any questions and for support! You will find tons of support here!  I wish you all the best! Take care!

Hi Picketfence and welcome!

Im assuming you meant to say hydrocodone because Im not sure if I know what hydrostatic is (at least in medication terms ). With that said, you are absolutely feeling all the normal w/d symptoms that we have all felt. As selfinduced said, make sure to eat when you can and hydrate. Its important even if you dont feel like it. Get some immodium, that helps too! Check out the thomas recipe for some specifics on what to do to help the symptoms.

Your in the right place and we have all been through or are currently going through what you are right now. Lots of support here! :)

Nope, You are well on your way out of the physical. With the small dose you took and your diligence with tapering, your in great shape. Congrats, most don't recognize these pills are a problem until they have suffered many consequenses and the impending doom of w/d. Be sure to eat well and hydrate as your body returns to normal. Glad you found us....Welcome!
