Police won't be called. 99.99% sure. Sadly, been through this more than once a long time ago. Pharmacy did you a big favor, that's why you got the 5 pills and a call to your Dr. Technically, the pharmacy committed a crime by filling an altered prescription at all. They stepped out on a limb for you because they know you're not the criminal type and wanted you to fix this. If your Dr. wanted to dismiss you he would simply have his staff call to say you're dismissed. He also didn't need to get involved, obviously he cares and wants you to address it so you can continue the Dr./patient relationship with him. DO NOT LIE ! THEY ALREADY KNOW THE TRUTH, YOU'LL BE SORRY IF YOU DO". Apologize, say you wanted a few more because of the pain, and you stupidly did that without thinking. This too shall pass. If you are honest and come across as being remorseful. In this situation it is nearly a given that at this point you'll get a free pass. BUT YOU MOST LIKELY WILL NOT GET A SECOND. SO KNOCK IT OFF.
Hello. Can you please let us know how things turned out. Thank you. I hope everything went well.
Did you call the doctor back? How did it go?
I agree with Sara call the doctor and be honest ....let him talk to see what he says....you might want to add you want help getting off of them and that you have a problem
although I havent herd you say that yet....have you come to grips that your an addict yet??
we can help you here it dosent sound to out of control yet so a home detox is still possible
stick with us here read the post see if you dont fall into one of the many categories of addiction the first step is admitting you have a problem today was defenit addictive behavior hang in there we can help you if your ready for help good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
Call the doctor and just be honest. sara
....let us know how it all turned out. Sounds like the doctor is going to give you some sort of ultimatum perhaps?? Get help, or ........?? I would think he would have called the police already? I am unsure, however, of the laws and the stipulations that come along with that sort of crime. However uncertain the outcome, ........lesson learned.....
SRY that post was for u not ballgame my mistake :-)
Vicoprofen which Ive been clean from for about 3 wks now is 7.5 vicodin and 200 mg IB profen it is a wonderful painkiller if u have alot of pain from inflammed joints and bones its a little more expensive than vicodin 5/500 or 7.5/750 but vicoprofen doesnt contain tynol which really hurts the liver it contains IB profen instead which can be dangerous if u dont eat food with it to coat ur stomach, Now that Ive been off of it I realized how much the IB profen content really helped me with the pain not just the vicodin so its like a vicodin ES with 200 mgs of IBprofen, Doctors forget about the drug unless u ask its still in the hyrdro family its like there cousin. years of taking large doses of that and I never had any panels of blood that ever came back bad, ur liver doesnt take the beating like it will with acetamphian the tynol in vicdon, My pain is still there since Ive been off of it and I know its not the vicodin part im missing its the ibprofen part, because NSAIDS( ibprofen being one of them) really take the pain and swelling away and the acemptians (Tynol) just mask the pain
I was a big vicodin user for years I have never heard of vicroprofen what is the difference? I am clean now just a question.
It's a federal offense? Didn't know that
Call your dr back. It's the only play you have. Plus if you did that then you do need help.
How u got caught is the pharmacty goes by the day supply depending how the doc wrote it that means 1-2 every 4-6 hrs or 1 tab every 8 hrs or 1 tab every 6 hrs and the 15 didnt add up or it was a odd day supply, I did that one time the doc wrote for 10 and I made the 1 a 6 for 60 tablets of vicoprofen instead of ten tablets like it was orginally wrote and it said take 2 tablets daily that would mean with the 60 he gave me a 30 day supply when he orginially only wrote it for 10 a 2 day supply, I didnt get caught but was scared I would since they scan it in a computer, good luck
Hi ucad.. I sure hope you call your Dr. back.. Be honest listen to what he has to say.. I agree as addicts we lie You are now in the position to get help with your addiction. you are lucky as I do not think he wants to pursue arrest in this case. you did not change them much and it is a low dose opiate.. Now is the time to get help and admit you are helpless in your addiction.. I was very honest with my Dr. and he was very supportive.. although they did not see you do it they know you did.. face the consequences and I do not believe they will be severe but a way to get the help you need... take care of yourself you have everything to get and stay clean for.. lesa
I would of never had the nerve to have done something like that. Although I do have friends who would probably do it. I am with everyone else call the doctor back, no reason not to now except embarrassment, but a little embarrassment sounds a lot better then a little or lot of jail time or fine.
One thing calm down you are not going to lose you child and your husband. We all have made mistakes and if he loves you he will stick beside you even if he doesn't agree. Husbands can be amazing sometimes.
Keep looking for replies you still might come across someone who has been in the same boat and give you some advice.
Please let us know how things work out. Wishing you luck and please don't try something like this again. It is far from worth the trouble and worry.
Let us know what happened. I really hope your ok. I am sure you feel awful but I am sure you will never do that again.
I'd rather screw up,face it but not go to jail or pay the $5,000.00 fine. That's just me...and again,I've never done this...never never never...and I never got caught.
Don't lie!! That is just digging your hole deeper. As addicts we get good at lieing and denying the truth. Sometimes you have to accept you screwed up and deal with the consequences.
They would have called the police by now. They would need more proof. They can't do anything because no one saw you do anything. They just THINK you changed it. So,call the doctor and hear what he has to say. It doesn't look good if you DON'T call.
If this were me,and only me,I'd cut my losses and call the doctor. I'm not sure what I'd say but I'd listen to him first...then I'd probably deny everything. But that's just me and I haven't been in that situation...
Not necessarily- if you do not talk to your Dr. then he can make that decision and you don't want to go down that road.
If the pharmacy didn't call the police does that mean the police are not going to be called at all?
Remember the doctor has the faxed copy of the RX. Do not lie to the doctor. You are so lucky the pharmacy did not call the police.
Yes you need to be proactive and call the Dr. Back so you both can discuss this. The pharmacies are well aware of what they prescribe you and you. Vicki595 is correct this is a Federal Offense. Good Luck
Call the doctor now and tell him you have a problem and please do not call the police and you will never do it again. Tell him you don't want to go to jail. Tell him you will do whatever it takes to fixs things.
Call the doctor back.
He knows anyway and it would be best for you to listen to what he has to say. He probably wants to help you or he'll probably discharge you as a patient. Either way,you got lucky. Most of the time...it turns out differently.
That's what I would do for now. And NEVER do that again. It's a federal offense.
