My skin is crawing can not sleep Im not sure if i can keep up .what would help

HI congrats on day 3 coming off methadone is ruff but it is doable the acute withdrawal usually last 7 to 10 days mine was a solid 7 days you do get better slowly a hot soak will help the creepy crawlies shower wqill work 2 if you have a family dr go tell him what your doing many will give cloindine its great for the crawling feeling also your still in this early enough to be on the vitamins get up to walmart and pick up a 3 in one vitamin its calcium/magnesium/zinc take 4 in tthe morning and 4 at dinner time in a couple of days this will cut down on the withdrawals your feeling then its protein shakes you can get a 2lb can of whey protein at walmrt for 15 bucks it loaded with amino acids extra vitamins as well as the raw protein all of witch the brain needs to heal coming off this stuff you got to hit it from several angles but it is so so worth it hang in there keep posting for support and get those vitamins they make a huge difference good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Are you being followed by a doctor??  There are some non addictive meds that will help if you ask for help.  I have not detoxed from methadone, but I understand it is tough.  Gnarly may come by later tonight and he has a lot of experience.  If you search his name and check out some of his posts (he usually responds to meth posts) you may glean some help there until he gets on later.  I hope you can hang strong, hon.  It will be worth it, even if it does not seem so right now. Keep posting.  If you want to tell your story, do not be afraid to.  The more info the forum has, the better they can help and support!
