You are such an inspiration. In my case I'm grateful that my aftercare is teaching me to not only speak to people but to share my story and to let lose the compassionate part of my nature. My homework starts here and it is already bleeding into my one on one conversations at church, the store, the neighbors. I have not been able to talk to people easily since I was a little girl of 5, I had just watch my father beat the bejesus out of my mother, I clammed up at that point and learned to trust no one. My pastor is awesome at coming up with homework that hits to the heart of the matter in my case. He's dredging up old wounds...but he's also helping me to heal them....so I'm very grateful for that!
i am not coming back .i still need this group.i am still out there.a lot of my success is because a few people i dont know got me out of a bad place for no other reason then they cared and it meant so much to me.just want the newbeeies out there to know you can come back.we all can have a better life after drug addiction.just keep trying .
It really is nice to hear someone come back and talk about their successes!! Thank you so much!!

Day 36. My daughter crushed her hand last week, had emergency surgery, has 2 small children & was in a very dark place. Instead of sitting on my couch wringing my hands in my dark world I was able to help, able to sit with her in the hospital, able to watch the kids, able to take her to doctors appointments.
I'm grateful I can get up every day get dressed & get out of the house.
I'm most grateful for this forum & all of you.
Thank you
