6 Days baby....

Addicted to hydro's for the past 4 years or so, stemming from severe spinal surgery that almost left me paralyzed.  Pain went away after a few months and at that time started realizing how I felt about these d- pills.  Was taking 20-30+ Norcos/day for 2 years then quit for 2 months only to get back on it again "accidentaly"  for the other 2 years. (I'm sure some of you have been there unfortunately).  I finally got to the point where I was able to taper down to just less than 20mgs/day for 10 days and here I am 6 days clean.  All withdrawls are gone except the "sit sweats" ...if you know what I mean.  Quite uncomfortable if you had it before.  Each day gets better and better.  Keep your eye on the prize...its worth it.  We all struggle with this and it can be beaten for once and all.  I'm sure you've all heard this before but if I can do it, you certainly can do it.  Withdrawls are only a short period to go through to rip your life back from the devil.

We'd better be careful or some people might think we have a split personality! I live in Central IL in a small town. Kind of between Peoria and Bloomington. Yep, I'm a huge Bears fan! Last season was such a disappointment. How do you make the super bowl one year and not even make the playoffs the next! I guess the easy answer is QB!!! Man it can be hard being a sports fan of Chicago teams! Hope you have a great weekend! At least it's suppose to warm up in to the 30's. Almost time for shorts!

Congrats!  Day 6 is big.  I started feeling better.....The sweats are sooooo annoying. They were the hardest for me.  I am day 12 and the last few days they have really subsided...Infact, I haven't had any today.  That part DOES get better.  I promise.

Congrats on 6 days! That is a huge accomplishment. I also took hydro's that started from a back injury. I've been off and on them for a few years. When my pain stops, I stop taking them. So far I'm about 3 weeks in without any. I've tried other things for the pain but nothing else seems to work. Hopefully my pain stays away and I won't have to touch another one! Well, congrats and welcome to the forum!
