I see so many post of people beating themselves up for falling off the wagon

Breaking the cycle of opiate use is a tough thing to do. You fall down, you get back up. I'm sure you didnt start out with a full fledge addiction and sometimes you dont just stop abruptly. It takes a few times of falling down and getting back up that help make that one time stick. Sometimes you gotta adjust your dose, taper down and then go cold turkey. Atleast you are trying and that says alot about you are and the life you want and dont want for yourself. My hat goes off to those tryinig. It really is a heroic thing to beat opiate addiction. And you are your own hero. So when you fall down, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and remember the person you are striving to be. Overcoming addiction means finding out what caused us to use to begin with and fixing that problem first otherwise I dont see how sobriety could stick...I'm rambling...My heart goes out to all who are struggling. Peace, Love and Happiness

Everyone just remember that no one will give up on u just for a slip when I was ready to quit this time I got just as much love and help as before . So many of us have been down the same road , Just keep trying till u get it right ! Good luck and god bless to all of us

Hey Dude your post is a very true statment for many it take a few trys to get it right we always ask what are you going to do differently this time around.? to do the same thinf over and over and expect different results is the true definition of insanity....you need to learn from our mistakes kick up the aftercare a few notches and stop tring to do this by youself...coming on here night after night I have seen my share of relapse it a sad part of addiction but with the right attitude a good solid plan for aftercare you can beat this thing and live in recovery
but it takes work and surrendering to your illness we can all learn to live in recovery
even if it takes a few trys good luck to your and thanks for your post...might open some eyes good luck and God bless......Gnarly

Your right man. Most of us relapse. Before you can learn to walk, you need to learn how to fall.
