i need help getting off methadone

i have been hooked on methadone for bout two years now and i wanna get off of them cause my two kids got took because of my problem with methadones is there any thing are something that could help me get off if so please give me some info please help

and how long have you been on it ? do you have a steady supply ? a clinic would be best to do this it takes a wile to taper off this stuff we can help please give us the info we asked for and will try and help you sorry about your kids.....Gnarly

Are you getting the methadone from a doctor?

Since methadone has such a long half-life (it's a very long acting opioid) it's really best to taper off it under a doctors advise/care.

It will depend on how much you take/how often etc.

Can you go to a doctor, be honest with him/her and get them to set up a taper plan for you?

If you're buying it off the streets this will be a bit more complicated - but do-able. It's still possible to find a doctor willing to help you. If your obtaining it by prescription with a doctor you can just ask them to set up a taper for you to get off it.
