Advice for withdrawl symtpms

I have been addicted to Tylenol with Codeine for almost 3 years now... I am a unique addict in that it was a really slow progression for me. I was only taking 2 to 3 there @ the end- but I HAD to have them everyday in order to feel "right."

I am a professional in the health care field and I was concerned that my addiction was affecting my work, which is critical!

Last week I told my family about my addiction (they had no idea)-- I highly reccommend getting as much support around you as possible before going through the withdrawls! My family has been really supportive!

Here is what I am experiencing (it has only been 2 days)

hot flashes combined with goose bumps
nausea so bad that I don't want to eat anything
absolutely NO energy
shakiness

Does anyone out there have some advice on getting through this ****?? Also, I am concerned that I will relapse, I hope I can be strong enough to stay away from narcotics!! I am so sick of thinking about it constantly and counting pills every day, and planning my day around when I will take my pills... it's no way to live!!

Imodium, something for anxiety like xanix or valium (in tiny bites) several hot baths, plenty water, no caffine, sleeping pills and this forum.

Go to the health pages for the Thomas recipe.  I've detoxed several times, and that was a hugh help for me this last time.

Best Wishes & stay in touch.
