wrapping ur legs with anace wrap or some type of compression wrap can help alot...many drink tonic water before bed for the quinidine..low.iron again can be a culprit..caffeine as well/no coffee or sodas with caffeine...it is the reaction of the dopamine receptors being starved out right now that causes this jumpy sensation in ur legs...parkinsons patients have a loss of dopamene/have u ever seen one? they jerk all over the place/ours is not long term like a parkinson patient as ur brain will begin producing the endorpins u need very soon/and exercise will speed this process up/aminos can help replenish the brain as well///good luck and keep posting

statistically..those who exercise r less likely to have rls..so exercise will help significantly...there is an article in the health pages on rls as well...some may even need iron as many r anemic who have this....there r stronger drugs that can treat this that r rx..my mom has it and has never used...read up on it and do what u can naturally to stop it..if not ..talk to ur dr...good luck to u

A hot pad on your legs will really help...It was about the only thing that would calm mine down...some nights i would think i was ok but always went back to the heating pad...give it a try...

Those RLS suck! I'm on day 16 and thank god they are gone. My first 3 or 4 days were the worse for RLS. I still feel it a little sometimes at night, but not bad..I took nothing for it. I took alot of hot baths and walked. Good luck to you..hang in there, it gets better everyday.

I never tried the hylands stuff, but I did find that walking really helped with the rls and my overall sense of well-being. Ive heard alot of people talking about bananas helping with RLS, so maybe give some a try. Then theres always taking a hot bath or even shower if you dont have a bath, the best is epsom salt baths, they really help relax your muslces throughout your body. Congrats on making it a week, I know during my sub detox the worst was over by that time and my big turning point came on day10. That was the morning I woke up and actually felt really good about myself, its also the day when I really started excercising. I started out going for several walks a day, I have 3 Jack Russells so they need tons of excercise, so I have to walk them quite a bit because otherwise their cooped up in my duplex going crazy. After about 2wks of just walking I started going to the gym, working mostly on my cardio(bikes, treadmill, swimming), but also some high repetition light weight lifting, followed up my either soaking in the spa or sweating it out in the sauna. I tell everyone on here just how much excercise has meant to me during my recovery, I feel like its the single most important thing for recovering addicts to do besides aftercare, which excercise for me is a form of aftercare. When I came off sub I had some lingering depression and sleeping issues that continued on, so I tried some anti-depressants none of which helped. I thought I was just going to have to keep trying different meds until I found one that worked, but as time went on and about 6wks into my excercise routine all my negative issues just disappeared, I can literally say that Ive never felt this good in my entire life. So as you can tell Im a big advocate for people in detox or any phase of recovery to take up some form of excercise, even a daily walk can be super beneficial in the long run. Sorry to go on and on, I know you only wanted to hear about the RLS, but when you feel able try to take a long brisk walk and see if it helps. We will all be routing for you, so good luck and take care.

Hey, first congrats on day 7!!!

I have RLS without any WDs, so now that I'm going through WD's, I feel like I'm going to shake a hole into my bed and through the floor..

I bought the same thing and it didn't do a thing for me...

I try Hot tea or a heating pad on your legs if at all possible...that helps or at least helped me when it was bad.

Also, try taking walks, it helps with the leg shaking...the leg shaking was VERY annoying for me, but it should go away after a while.
