this is day 8

Day 8 for me. Doing very well except for still being pretty tired. Takes all i got to do anything. Somewhat of a sleepless nite last nite. Had some cravings but got up out of bed and walked instead. Pain wise I am doing good. I had more pain when I was on the meds than I do off the meds so far. Pain tolerance seems to be better. Start meetings at my church tuesday. Should be interesting since its run by my pastor and the wife and I run the youth group. I am out in the booneys so no other place to go to meetings unless I want to drive an hour each way. Thanks again everyone for your support.

Hey..congrats and it does get better but here's some inside info...it was almost 3 months before I started some semblance of normal sleep.  Keep going...after what you've been through, you are doing great.

One tip - Read the PAWS info; I can't emphasize this enough.  Understanding what you're experiencing now and what you will be going through is very important at this stage.

Wife is going to store today on way home from work. I will have her get me some. As for the church, my pastor is a recovering alcholic so i am sure things will be fine. Most everyone who lives out here has had one problem or another. Our town consist of 3 bars, a 7/11, a feed store and a post office. Not much else to do for fun but drink or drugs.
Mjones, you are doing fantastic. Just remember dont taper to quickly. My last taper I went 2 weeks before stopping altogether. Also dont forget to spread out the dosage, its important to the taper. My doc gave me lyrica for the rls and for sleep. It seemed to work pretty well. Still had some rls but was able to get some sleep. Would sleep for a couple hours and get up and walk a bit and sleep the rest of the nite.

Congrats on day 8, Im on day one no energy and my body is starting to feel achy...I have went for a walk and i keep finding small things to do. Im FORCING myself but it does make it better. Have you tried the lytosine?, im thinking of using it myself but not till around day 4 or 5.  If you or anyone has experience with it let me know.
