have I done the right thing?

I have been trying to come off the tramadol I have been taking but I am not sleeping at night.Over the holidays Ihave been staying with my family in my old room.My mum commented that she has seen my light still on in the early hours,so anyway I told her why I was awake obviously she was very upset and concerned and told my dad...I now feel very guilty and regret putting this on them....

Actually the guilt you feel says something pretty great about you.  It means you care about them enough to not want to hurt them.  But you were right to be honest.  We have to be if we truly want to get and stay clean.  They will be of great support to you as you continue to move forward I'm sure.

Hang in there on the sleep - it will come but it does take a while.

I wouldn't worry about it, I quit tramadol & vicodin 10 days ago and I've turned into a night owl and I don't sleep until the morning. Things will even out eventually, sooner than later. Since I'm up I do things I enjoy, like watching movies or reading..w/e you like. I know it's frustating when everyone is having a good nights sleep and you can't but it will get better.
