Can .5 mg of xanax a day for 3 weeks send me into withdrawals?

I was addicted to xanax about a year ago and suffered severe withdrawals until I got psychiatric help and a taper. I have bipolar disorder and several anxiety. A little over 3 weeks ago I started taking less than 1 mg for anxiety again without a prescription and want to come off of them again because of the terrible withdrawals. I dont have any insurance and I need a safe way to get off the xanax without a doctor. HELP!

I wish I knew what I could tell you but I don't.  The only thing I want to tell you is that I am going thru withdrawals now myself but not Xanax.  Hydrocodone and tramadol myself for over 5 years.  I wish us both luck.  Godspeed.
