Sarah, that's a great idea. My very active three year old grandson loves the movie Shark Boy and Lava Girl. I have never seen him sit still for so long. Also reminds me of something I do when I babysit him. I get a bag of grapes and tell him that if he plays nice and is good, he will get some when the big hand on the clock is straight up. Then, I will tell him he will get some more if he's good when the big hand is straight down. He actually enjoys this game and I have taught him how to tell time.
I hope this helps. And yes, try not to think beyond today. Take tomorrow as it comes.

You are way overwhelmed here. Try and just stay in the day today. Using is not an option, getting thru this is and you will. Is there a cartoon or movie that your 2 yr old likes? If there is put it in! Dont stress about the housework. Do what needs to be done, the rest will wait. If the little one takes a nap go soak in a warm bath. You will get thru this. Keep us posted on how you are doing~~
Oh dear, I am so sorry you're having such a rough go of it. Is there anyone who can help with the kids at all? What day are you on? Can you schedule a couple days off from work? You've probably already thought of these things, I just wish I could help. As for the laundry and housework, do what is absolutely necessary and let the rest go for a while. Right now your health and recovery are more important. Hang in there, someone else may post with some other ideas but in the meantime, vent here all you need. Sometimes it helps just to let it out.
