Good advice... "we're only as sick as our secrets" - being on the sub can be a good or bad thing, but by starting off omitting the truth about them isn't good for you. I'm sure your bf will be understading as long as you continue to do the right thing.
Also, regarding the drug testing - sub should not show up in a drug test like the one you mentioned. From what I understand, it needs to be a specific test for sub. I could be wrong, so try doing a search to find out.
Well hon,if you're asking my opinion it sounds like many of us addicts ,because of you're addiction you have some trust issues in your relationship{the drug testing}.I know what thats like,my husband didn't always believe me in the past,of course in the past he was right not to.You've stopped the lortabs and thats something to be proud of no matter what route you chose to do it,including the sub.I went on methadone to get off of the opiates, wish I wouldn't have went that route, but thats another story in itself. The thing is it sounds like you're working towards getting your life back and that means making immense with your b/f,giving him a reason to trust you again. We snuck around and hid enough things when we were using, keeping secrets when you're trying to work your recovery only hinders the process for you and him.Thats just my 2 cents, ultimately it is your decision, but I wish you the best with it.Take care...Kim
oh I'm sorry!
my b/f knows that I quit lortabs but I didn't tell him that I started the sub :-(.....
I want him to be able to randomly test me to make sure that I am not taking lortabs but I am not wanting to tell him about the sub.
does that make sense?
We're not really supposed to answer questions about drug test here. Why do you ask?
