we tapered her off 75-50-25 she is on the patch for cronic back pain but the lyrica she just started taking took the pain completely away as the fentanyl didnt she was also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but has been in remission for 2 years now
i was very tired when i detoxed, this is normal
i am sorry that your mom is going through this
i am wondering why her doctor wants to keep her on the patch
is she a chronic pain patient? i ask, because pain patients who do not work on their pain issues tend to relaspe at the first sign of pain
and when one detoxes off of opiates they experience what is called rebound pain, its the original pain (back, neck, illness) plus the exagerated pain from the withdrawl
""""any suggestions on making this a bit easier for her""""
if the oxy's are not helping her withdrawl then nothing will
most patients who come into our detox that need help with the patch use blood pressure medication and darvon,
again my heart goes out to her, i was on the patch for a short time, but i remember how i fely on them and the hell i experienced coming off of them
one more question, did you use a taper plan or did she jump 100mcg to 25mcg??
good luck, you guys hang in there,,,
