GOING TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 Loratabs left. I will take them today. Then I am done. I know what I am going to go thru, done it before. My dog died August 4th. We had her for 8 years. I felt like I lost one of my children! I know some people don't understand that but...... I have 3 Suboxone's. I have been doing the Loratabs since my dog died, bout 2 months, everyday now. I have spent sooooo much money on these, I don't want to live like this anymore. I get no joy out of life except for when I am numb from the tabs. Kinda makes no sense lol. Tomorrow will be my first day with no opiates. I am going to take half of the suboxone, to keep me from feeling so sick. My son just got off the tabs. He was doing them for years. He is the person who bought the suboxone for me. I pray it works for me like it did for him. He has not had a tab in a month. He says he feels sooooo much better. I am not looking forward to the chills, muscle aches, etc....I am a cashier in a convenience store and i have to work tomorrow morning. It is very hard to got to work and smile and be nice to customers when I will just feel like crying. I do alot of crying when I am coming off tabs. I did it a few years ago, when my father was sick. He had pancreatic cancer and I started taking the pain pills to deal with the situation. He died and I continued to use for a few months after that. I got off them with no help, except for the support of my husband. So here I go again, I just hope the suboxone helps stave of some of the withdrawl symptoms I know my body will experience. Thanks for listening. I need someone to tell me I CAN do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes...you can do this.  I did it, and if that was possible, then anyone can do it.  I had been taking loratabs for 3 years.  At the peak of my addiction, I went thru 90 pills in 4 days (i guess anticipating quitting, so I went out in a blaze!! lol)

Seriously though...you can do it.  You will probably feel like sh*t for 4 or 5 days, but after that..you will feel better each day.  Of course, everyone is different as far as WD and stuff.  But you can do this.  Just have to really, really want it, and keep reminding yourself WHY you want it.  For me....I just had to get to a point where I was disgusted with myself, and my behavior when I was using, and just refused to live that way anymore.  If you want it bad enough, you can do it.   You said it yourself....you have done it before.

You are in a good place for support.  People here are awesome and we have all gone thru it....so anytime you need someone, just come here!

Good luck to you and congrats on deciding to get clean!!  Look forward to a better life!!!
