You need your doctors help, the withdrawls are horrible for us as is and at least your doctor can ween you down and keep the baby monitorEd while your doing so. if you tell them now its going to be way better if you wait or do it on your own. Also if your not completely off by time baby gets here they will be able yo help your baby better too. Praying for you and your baby.

I certainly am not an expert by any means all I can do is offer my opinion please don't just come right off this it will affect your baby..if you can't tell your doctor which obviously is the safest way and "right" way I think..I defiantly was very scared to tell my doctor for fear of judgement or worse..if I can ask do you have a prescription for this cause then there is not much as far as dss getting involved I ran into the trouble because I had no prescription....whatever you decide keep it head up mama and I will send prayers out for you and your little one that your both happy an healthy

You need to tell your OB now!  The earlier he/she knows the better for you and your child.  They have heard it all and they want the best outcome for both of you and need to know.  If you wait until the birth..that is when the doctor cannot help you with child services.  Are you getting the meds from a doctor??  It really does not matter how at this point.    Many women need the pain meds to keep their pain stress low as that can affect the baby as well.  Let your doctor help you decide how to handle it.  Keep posting as I am sure others will get on board and help you figure this out.  Attabeach is right...the baby will feel the withdrawals if you go cold turkey.

hello nina and welcome. I am sorry I don't know what dilates is?
do you have a prescription for the oxys?
it is never safe to go cold turkey during pregnancy. the baby will feel the withdrawal even if you don't.
do you have a history of drug addiction?
