Day 12 and not normal... ;)

If anyone has any questions about my walk with suboxone and how I am 107 days clean off narcotics and 12 days of subs and everything please feel free to ask. Want to know how my specialist helped me? Want to know what I do to make it by I am here to help even people who are not on subs because I have detoxed without subs before too. Tell me your success stories I could take views from different people!

Also I read from a person on a post somewhere that day 13 is like the worst day for subs who are off any truth?

Actually, sarah knows that.  She's the community leader of this forum.  She's been around a LONG time.

Hey Ron,

Sub can be great, if it is done right, at a GOOD clinic, with a holistic program.  And you're 100% right, there IS no easy way.  No matter what you do, there is really no way around detox.

Hi everyone ,
My Dr offered to RX some Sub for my withdrawls from 100mg a day norco addiction .
I thank God i had read ton's of post's on this site about tradeing one addiction for another maybe tuffer addiction .
On day#22  now Norco  free , happy again so glad i used no helper drugs.
Maybe some people do need Sub drugs to help them .
Seems like a lot of people & Dr's think it's the easy way to detox.
There is no easy way ,
Ron

I understand your position and agree with everything you've said. That's why so many have asked about the "recipe"....

It's very unfair to make the statements she has made and not follow up but she has...so be it.  I'm callin BS on this one and I will say there is NO WAY she jumped from 8mg of Sub without wd's. NO WAY IN H E L L!

I'm through with this, also...

dewey, your experience is the norm.  I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I've never seen or heard of anyone jumping off at 8mg either, they would be SO sick.  I believe in another thread, kel said she hadn't used anything, and just was lucky she hadn't had w/d's.  The doc I worked with insisted no one jumped until they were tapered to 0.5mg/day or less.  There was still the occasional person, who did well during the taper, who insisted coming off at 2mg, 3mg....they were in misery.  SUPER sick, had to go back on, then taper lower.

I too worry about people getting the wrong idea, I would never want someone to try to jump from such a high dose, thinking they would be okay.  I also would like to hear the deal here.  Kel posted this thread, basically offering to share her experience, what her specialist did for her, so that she did not have any w/d coming off sub at 8mg.  People are biting, they want to know!!  I'm anxious myself to see the answer.  Who knows??  Maybe her specialist is onto something that would be a HUGE benefit for others trying to come off subs!  That would be awesome!

I sincerely hope she comes back to post.
