I have such a hard time with this. I did not celebrate my last "anniversary" with this forum because I felt that I should have been further along. How silly is that? I expect a lot from myself because I am not a first-timer at this. I need to let that go, and I am working on that.

So, today I began talking with a new member who has deeply touched me. This person made me realize that I am no better, or not further along, nor no further behind. I am where I am and I am proud today to say it.

I love you guys. Everyday I come in here you remind where I am, where I was, and where I could be. Thank you all.

Please keep coming back. I need each and every one of you!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean,,on the 22nd I celebrated 1 year and my home group had a nice celebration,,,,,I wasnt there.I felt like I should be farther along to. My sponser said I"m right where I should be but like you I want and expect more from myself,,but hey any clean time is good time right.Congrats on a good program,,your an example of giving it away to keep it

Congrats on your "missed" anniversary....I am a first timer here,..but i realpsed on a new drug, not on alcohol...and my therapist said i need to work on the guilt and shame...noone is perfect and I expect too much....usually not of others, but more of myself. You have truly been an inspiration to me on this site...and I would not be on Day 2, had you not drawn me out of my "paranoia state"  heehee.....you rock girl!!!!
