HI there is always controversy about having a glass of wine with dinner early on in recovery the answer is no....a buzz is a buzz is a buzz no mater how suttle it may seam its way to ez to become cross addicted to something else even something we never had problems with b/4
I cant even count how many people have fallen back to the DOC because of drinking
your best to stear clear of alcohol all together for me it use to be part of a bigger problem
I took my last drink 5yr8mo ago because of that good luck and God bless....Gnarly
Also do I completely have to stay away from alcohol? Can I have a beer or wine once a week? Wine is kinda part of my culture.
My body is so tired but my brain is going at 100mph. :(
It might be a week or two, maybe more for the moody stuff to stabilize..Alot I believe is related to the amount of time one has been consistantly(everyday) relying on pills to get thru the days.We altered our chemical balance and it wasn't overnight it changed. Nor is it going to re-set itself overnight..I live in the "one of these days " thoughts when addressing that concern. That way you don't set yourself up for a perceived failure by not feeling as good as you hoped for at any particular time during this process....And yeah, a bubble bath??whatever works for you :)
I know this sounds kinda sounds not too manly but I had to take a epsom salt bath with Johnson and Johnson night time baby bath. Lol! What ever works right? :)
Well I didnt take a nap at that time but I did around 6 pm. Been feeling a lil moody when does the moodyness go away?
Congrats from me too - a nap sounds like the perfect idea! And great day for it here as it snowed last night and everything outside looks beautiful. Definitely the perfect day to snuggle up and enjoy the down time. Good for you! :)
Congrats on your clean time!!! Enjoy your nap~~~~~sara
Just finished cleaning now time for a nap.
mudd butt...lol. funny but not. at 5 days that is still probably normal. i still have upset stomach issues from time to time. it will take our bodies quite some time to get back to normal routines.
i am proud of you jay. you are doing great.
It's day five and now Im getting...well... the Mud butt again. haha is that normal for day 5?
Hey congrats on 5 days.......the glass of wine for some isent a big deal 5 days into a detox it a huge deal its very ez to become cross addicted to me a buzz is a buzz is a buzz no mater how suttle....alcohol has lead to many a relapse in our community........Gnarly
