I forgot to add that when my father was in the service, Navy 5?-6? He was involved in the Cuban Crisis and had to be within 5 minutes of the base at all times. As you know that sort of fizzled. Then his service time was over. He had a family, then the war started, he seen what all was happening he wanted to go help so he tried to re-enlist (sp?) but since he had a family at that point, they wouldn't take him. He took me out on my 23rd birthday and told me that story as he was 23 when this took place. My hero. ;)
Big thanks to Eagle, Chris and all of the vets here on the board and all around the world. I love you guys and appreciate all that you have done for our country. (HUGS)

God bless our troops and I pray for them everynight. I am so thankful for my freedom and have the highest respect for all of our soldiers.
I also have a cousin that died but he died at Walter Reed from lymphomblastic? (I think that is right) lymphoma. He had just joined the army and was sent to fallujah and (please forgive me if I don't get these terms right) his company? was support for for the 82nd Airborne and he did maintenance (they would blow up tanks and other stuff, maybe someone can explain what I am trying to say) Anyhow, he got sick and kept going to the medic and finally he passed out and they sent him to Baghdad where he was diagnosed with lymphoma and sent to Walter Reed. He was fine when he went in and my aunt has alway's wondered if it was depleted uranium that killed him. Personally, I don't know but I just wanted to remember him too because I don't think his name is ever mentioned on official lists. He was a really nice young man, it's a shame.
USAF 71-75 as a fighter jet wing wiper. I worked on F-4's in SEA from 73 to 75. I would not want to do it again because those were some troubling times for our country but, I would not change the experence for anything.
