needing help and support

Hello all. My husband is trying to get off opiates after about 2 yrs on them. I made this acct for him, and I'm posting for him for the first time. I'm hoping that if he has a place for support and sees positive feedback that he will take advantage of it. He's dealing w/ the horrible withdrawals, but is determined to beat this thing. Please show him some love and support.

Please tell your husband Congrats on his decision to turn his life around.
I too was hooked on opiats for 2 years and even though it was a little tough for me to Detox It was so worth it. He'll find a ton of support here.I can't begin to tell you how much the people on this forum care.

Your husband is a very lucky man but i know at the moment he doesnt really realise this nor does he appreciate this. Im a recovering opiate addict after 4 years and while it can be hard its very worthwhile. Its very hard to give advice on what your husband should do or hhow to talk to you on how to get through it without knowing what he is on, as opiates vary across a wide range of drugs. Would you feel comfortable elaborating? Tell him not to worry on the support side though because you do get a lot of support and i know without it, i wouldnt be were i am today. xxx

he wants? What is he taking how much  .Does he want to get be
tter for himself ? I think its wonderful that he has some one as supportive as you to help him threw .There will be people to help you as well as loved one off an addict.Welcome both of you to our forum
