Jrizzy I do go see one every week. I spoke to my doc and she gave me trazodone and said it was a non narcotic and really helps through this part of wd's. Does anyone know if I take it for a week will my natural sleep come back still?! I really don't want to but I have too much during the day to be a zombie! Thanks for all of your guys words! I can't do it without all of you! On the straight
Hey congratulations on making it this far!!!!!!! Yeah I had trouble sleeping too coming off that suboxone. I think it got better by day 9 and real better by day 14. I took vistaril the first week then melatonin the rest and still take it every night. 3 mg. I would stay away from the ambien, but thats just my opinion. By day 8 to about day 30 I listened to relaxation music very softly. It's meant to help sleep. It seemed to help me. By day 30 on I didnt listen to the music, cause my sleep seemed to get better. My good sleep pattern came relatively quick. I got the music from my therapist, which I think you said you see one. They may be able to get one for you or they might have them on hand. If not probably get them at any cd store. Hang in there keep up the good work.
I'm going through the same thing. Lat three days I've been functioning on 3-4 hours and its been reaaly hard as I have 3 children to look after. I tried melatonin last night for the frist time this week with no result- argh. I've been contemplating ambien as well, but know its not the long term solution for me. I'm trying to turn it into a positive by thinking of all the things I can get accomplished while everyone else in my household is still asleep. My toilets have never been so clean-lol!
Despite the lack of sleep, I still feel really, really positive and know it will get better in time and is a small concession to make in the grand scheme of things. Hang in there- we will all get through this on top. CONGRATS on making it to day 8:) I'm right begind you~
Much Love,
Stephanie
I've read some good things about sleepytime tea. Hot bath might help. The exercise is great and not hurting anything. I would suggest a dose of nyquil. Anything is better than the ambien! That one will sneak up on ya.
Congrats on your clean time!
well done for your 8 days, sleep can be the last thing to return to normal with withdrawal,
im not keen on ambien, and it doesnt seem to be helping you much anyway, i wish there was something great i could suggest, but i just had to wait it out, a hot bath before bed helped, but you seem to be doing the right thing, exercise etc, i hope someone else can think of something to help you, but try to stay positive, and hang on in there, god bless, sudie
I've been following your story. I was lucky as far as all other wd symptoms and I know its a process with the hardest factor being the unknown! I wish you the best rock as do I everyone else. 1 step at a time.
I'm in the same boat as you and will gladly heed any advice directed your way. I'm on da 6 now andexcept for about an hour Ive beeen up more than 24hrs. Ineed to get down for some rest. By the way good job on the weaning process happy to hear it worked for you, Good luck...K.J.
