Anyone else have an insatiable appetite while withdrawing?

OMG I cannot get enough to eat!! For the last ten years I've been a one time a day eater...since going through withdrawal I literally STAY hungry. I mean, I could eat a horse right now and not stop for a drink...my belly is growling non stop! Do vitamins actually increase your appetite or something? Or am I just weird and having my own kind of w/d? I do need to gain weight anyway, but at this rate, I'll be as big as that horse I was talking about eating. My husband says he likes that I'm eating now...but it's just all so weird for me I guess. I do have to ignore that hunger pain sometimes because I know there's no way I can really be hungry. Lol. Geez...one thing after another isn't it! But.....day 25 clean approaching...I'm getting closer to my freedom!

Well I can't get any sleep but nobody's gonna stop me from eating. Lol. I just ate a banana...the whole thing. I usually can only eat about half of one before the texture of it starts gagging me. Literally. I'm funny like that I guess. Right now it's 3am..about two hours ago I ate a piece of chocolate cake...and at 9 I ate 3 pieces of pizza...so imagine what I ate all day...my day usually starts at 5:20am.....

Yes! Tramadol zapped my appetite. I had to force myself to eat that one meal a day. It just felt chalky and tasteless. Now even a sandwich is soooo good! I'm more into cooking, too. Bon apetit!

I'm on the too-skinny side too this is good all around :)

Yeah most of us don't have an appetite during withdrawal, that's for sure.
I can't remember when mine came back but it was probably after a week.
I was starting to enjoy eating again until I went off the Effexor.  Now I am back to no appetite and not sleeping.  I would love to do more of both :(

Thanks Pat! That's reassuring. I hadn't heard about anyone increasing their appetite during withdrawal...only nausea and loss of appetite. From day one I've been like this. I was expecting to be sick to my stomach and vomiting and instead all I wanted was some sorta food to put in my mouth...I've actually gained about 4-5 lbs. lol.

Yes, your appetite comes back and you can't get enough to eat once you start.  A lot of people have mentioned it.  I don't know why.  
Maybe our bodies are just wanting something.  lol
