End of day 3 and my fight with vicodin

Earlier this morning I asked what to expect from day 3. I was honestly terrified of this day. So many people saying that was the worst. For the last 3 days I have had no appetite, tons of pain, emotional rollercoaster...well you all know what it is like.

Anyway around 5 today my appetite came back! I was famished! Started with some crackers and moved up just to make sure my stomach was not going to revolt against me. I still like I am in a little bit of a fog but I am feeling so much better!

Please tell me there is some sneaky day coming up that is going make me rethink this? Is the worst finally behind me? I am praying so hard that it is.

Congrats on day 3!!!! That's a huge accomplishment so be very proud of yourself and your mental strength!! I'm glad your appetite has came back as we need all the nutrients we can get while withdrawing. If you aren't able to eat too much, I would recommend protein shakes. Also, have you checked in to the amino acid protocol? It really does help get our bodies back on track. Exercise also gives you a huge advantage on getting your body back on track. I know it can be so hard to muster up the energy but once you get out and start walking you'll be amazed on how much better you will feel. Be sure to be drinking plenty of water and fruit juices.
If you aren't feeling to horribly bad on day 3 you may be in the clear to some degree. Expect to still have some ups and downs over the next few days or so but with each passing day you will feel better and better. I know days 3 and 4 were always the worst for me. Day 5 is the turning point for me and it got so much better after that. Maybe days 2 and 3 are your worst so tomorrow may be the turning point! I pray that it is for you!!!
Just be very careful in the next week or two. Once we are clean we become very vulnerable in thinking we can take just a few pills for the day. We tend to think we can control our use and will do it different this time. Before we know it we are right back to where we started! Not saying you are gonna do this, but it seems to happen more often than not. I know I've been guilty of it numerous times!
Just keep up that positive attitude and don't fear the withdrawals. Fearing the withdrawals just make us weak. The one thing that we can fear is what we are doing to our bodies while on pills. I look at withdrawals as our bodies telling us not too put them through the pill abuse again.  You have made it 3 days so I know how strong willed you are! Just take it a day at a time. If you have a bad day know that the next day will probably be a good one! Hang in there and all of this will be in the past before you know it! If you need anything, please let me know! You can do this!
Best of luck!
