Feeling better already!!

Amazing how BP can affect you so much. Since I rested for a few hours and still felt the same, I added the second dose of BP meds back in as the doctor suggested, and went to bed early. I got up this morning feeling much better. So thankful for that! I've always said that you don't know how good you feel, until you feel bad. And I want to say, most online info states that there are no symptoms to high BP...and I feel that is totally untrue! I had whooshing and ringing in my ears for days...a mild headache and my limbs just kinda ached. Not to mention the "tunnel-vision" feelings I had here n there. It's bad when you read online that there are no symptoms, yet you're experiencing SOMETHING...makes you wonder what your body is doing. So next time, I'm not gonna be so quick to believe everything I read! Lol.

Hope everyone has a beautiful & clean day...God Bless you all!! ;)

Holy shizzle Jennelle!! That's unbelievably high...it's a wonder you didn't have a stroke, you're very lucky! You've had a heck of a time haven't you?! I just kinda look at it as another test...it's crazy that I didn't have any problems while I was on the methadone, and I get off of it and suddenly have BP problems for no reason. I've feel like I've done everything right...exercise, eat well and until recently, was actually a little underweight. (YEAH!! About that...I've gained 8 lbs since being off methadone...grrr). So evidently, the BP meds are a must right now...but I'm ok with that if it keeps me healthy :) And hey...a BIG congrats on your clean time sweetie! Rock it girl ;)

Hi sweetness, I am glad you got your bp under control. I can relate to you ! About 4 weeks ago I had my bp taken in the doctor's office and it was 220/110! That is heart attack stroke zone. I was really scared! I knew it was high but didn't realize it was that high. He immediately put me on medication for it and now I am worried that it is too low! Amazingly I never felt any symptoms from it but I have had the ringing in the ears. When I am in the doctor's office my anxiety goes really high and pushes the blood pressure up so the readings are not always that accurate in the doctor's office but that is all they have to go on. When I was pregnant with twins my blood pressure shot up high and so they did a C-section, and after that it went so high they could not get it down and I almost died, for real! For 3 days I was right out of it , seeing double and couldn't stay awake. Finally it went down some but was still high and I had to go on meds then. Then when I lost all my weight it returned to normal and I was able to go off the meds. But I was told at the time that when your bp is high in pregnancy it will come back when you are older, and sure enough it has. I hate to have just finally come off methadone and now am on 2 different bp medications, but it is necessary. They call it the silent killer as there really aren't much physical effects from having high bp. So I understand totally what you are saying and am glad you have this under control, best to be safe than sorry. Take care, you have done an awesome job with your health!
