Rough Morning

Okay...here goes. I never post and find it very difficult to 'reach out' when I am having difficulties.I don't do well with opening up at all. It's been a very rough morning and I need some love and encouragement I guess. I have had a very stressful month or so. Here's just a tiny bit of it... as many of you know I am on the road with my bf who is a truck driver. Well, last weekend our truck broke down. We blew a head gasket and the truck ended up hydro locking, which is very bad news. So, we had to scramble around and switch trucks. Now our truck is fixed and we have to switch back into it today. This may not sound like a big deal, but we have a ton of stuff, and it is a very long process to move it all. Plus I have a crippled back and have been sick with some weird, mysterious stomach illness. So, I have been dreading that. I woke up this morning to find one of my beloved cats sick. He has an abscess or something on his eye/cheek area. He's lethargic and obviously uncomfortable. It's Sunday, and we are out in the boonies, so no emergency vet to take him to. I feel so helpless. I love my cats and this just kills me. I have been in tears all morning over this. I feel really silly, but I am a huge animal lover. This is really just the tip of the iceberg as far as what's been going on. This is just the latest in a string of stresses and bad luck, but it seems to be the hair that is breaking the camel's back. I consider myself a fairly strong person, but this constant barrage of crap is taking it's toll on me. I am not having any cravings, or thinking about using. I just needed to vent and get a little love from you guys. Today is not a good day. Thank you for listening.

Oh honey. I'm so sorry! Moving trucks is as bad or worse than moving houses! I don't envy you that at all! When we moved houses my hubby movedtrucks the same week! I got the house. Lol. I'm also sorry to hear about kitty. The feed store is a great idea! Also, you can put neosporin on the booboo. We did that with one of ours. Also, they always have wal-mart in the boonies. They sell pet meds now so the pharmacists might be able to help. Hang in there honey. Good luck with the move. Keep us posted on your fur baby!

Hey sweetie! I'm glad to see you reaching out but super sorry that so much is going wrong... I will definitely put you on my prayer list!! Heather had a great idea about the feed store... The feed store owners are usually akin to country doctors and know their business!! I am here if you need to talk.... It will get better.....

Thank you all. Heather, I found a feed store that has Penicillin.(No emergency vets, but like 50 feed stores out here in the Pennsylvania boonies!) We are going to stop and get some. I really appreciate it! Makes me feel a little better. Jen, I totally agree about the moving trucks thing. It is worse than moving houses. Sounds crazy, but it's true.

Angie, I just saw this & I'm so very, very glad that you posted. I know how hard it is & I'm proud of you for pushing your comfort zone. You did the right thing.

I'm thankful to Heather for giving you such excellent advice. (We're actually dealing w/ a cat here that's going to have to be put down because of his kidneys & I totally understand how you feel.) I'm so sorry that you have the added stress of having to 'move house' w/ your back & your persistent stomach issue. I wish that a few of us could be out there w/ you to help & make you laugh. I feel helpless when I hear you like this. You have my love & good thoughts. I'll also call you. (Hope R. is being good through all this.) Love & Strength to you my, sister.

Hey Ang, sorry your still going through the mill, you sure have had some sh't to deal with lately, I obviously don't know about what can help with your cat and I can only guess at how hard moving trucks would be, very stressful and strenuous, especially with your back. So I can just offer you some kind words and encouragement. Please take your time and go as easy as possible with your back, you won't get held aloft or a trophy at the end of it so let R do the heavy stuff or as much of it as you can hide from, be sneaky girl, devious even, lol. Tell him you've broke your ankle if you must, and the toilet needs a visit every 5 mins too, you know for your icky belly, only joking just thought I would try cheer you up! I would like to say what you have gone through is nothing short of amazing, detoxing from Methadone in a truck and all the stress that would be created in such surroundings, you are a legend my friend, truly! I loved you from our first words and love and respect you more each day, we got this right! I hope you find something for your kitty, and you find some peace soon, I'm always floating around if you need a chat. Best of luck with the move sis! Keep us informed!

Thank you guys! I feel a little better. Dig, you made me laugh. Thank you for that. I love you all and appreciate all of the kind words and advice. Sometimes life just piles up on you, and this was one of those times. I will get through today and be just fine.

I am so sorry to hear your baby is sick.  I know the stress that brings.  We have a cat forum here also and i got great support and ideas when my boy was sick and after he passed.  He had pancreatic cancer.  Close your eyes, takes some deep breaths and try to relax your mind.  Keep us posted on how you and your baby are doing~

I'm so sorry about all u are dealing with.   I wish that stupid stomach issue would go away.  And praying for strength to move that truck as quickly and effortlessly as possible.  Hope you get the help needed for you kitty.  Just wanted to lend my support.  You are such a doll always helping others in their Time of need.  Love you my girl!!!   Praying for you

hi La La I am so sorry to hear that you are going through all of this.  troubles and more troubles!  your health (stomach, back), the kitty, omigoodlord girl, moving trucks!  i'm so sorry La La.  wish there was more I could do than offer a few little words!  La La don't ever feel silly cuz La La aint silly (unless you trying to be) and don't ever feel not strong or just 'fairly strong' cuz you among the strongest lay deez and wimmins and La Las I know!  I love you girl, keep on doin it, you will feel better soon I hope and much healing and love to tha kit kat--Meegy

Hey there gorgeous!! I am so sorry that you are going through all this at one time. :(  I am so so proud of you for posting!! I wish we could all hop in a big van and go help you!! Wow, I was just sitting down on my pity pot when I read all you are dealing with. My 17 year daughter goes in front of the judge again tomorrow. She does not want to sign the probation papers because they require her to be at home and go to school, neither of which does she want to do. She prefers to tramp around and stay with "friends" I called the Public Defender and he told me the best thing for Sarah to do when she goes to court is pack her toothbrush. I am not laughing.
She and a friend were "given" a new SUV they "found" and joyrided it around until it ran out of gas on the freeway and 4 metro police cars caught up with them. I thought 6 months probation, some classes, and 48 hours community service was getting off light.
Then the cancerous lesions all over the top of my wifes head......

I guess sobriety just means being able to think and love clearheadedly about both good and bad. You really got me thinking.
