Nah you won't always be sluggish, don't worry. Regular energy levels do return. Oh, by keeping on doing what you gotta do I mean whatever you need to do. Not necessarily go go going :) If you need rest, rest as well! Thinking about it, I could've been more precise and referred to how we can often feel so so tired, but when we start doing something such as playing with the kids (nieces in my cases) or just the cleaning or whatever, we can find we had a bit more energy than we at first thought we had.
Thank you so much! You are wonderful! I luckily was able to taper from my tramadol with a schedule from my doctor so it hasn't been bad. I am concerned I'll always feel sluggish lol
OMG, on day 6 I couldn't even get showered and dressed! Honey, you are still in the EARLY stages! Give it time...you'll feel better. Drink a LOT of water...enough so your urine is completely clear. And try to get some exercise.
You bet its okay to rest. Your brain is doing hard work to re-ware itself...
This is only day 6 for me. I've been doing really well and actually me going to work is helpful. I do get energy but today it's not that way. I am flat out tired. When I get home from shopping is it okay for me to just rest for awhile? I think I've pushed myself enough today. But that's only my opinion ;) thank you both SO much.
Hey, yeah it's completely normal. Those sluggish phases will come upon us during our recovery. Keeping on doing what you gotta do is the right way to go about things for sure! Sounds like you're on track, it will go away.
How many days is it, honey? Forgive me if you posted it somewhere else.
Today is day 44 for me, after 8 years on oxy. I am literally spending any time that I'm NOT working laying down. That's how sluggish I feel! I have to PUSH myself to do things. I just don't feel like participating in anything more than showering and watching films on Turner Classic Movies.
It's hard. I'm sure this is a w/d symptom that persists a while but will go away. Don't give up!
