Finally listening to you all

Okay, everyone, this might come as a bit of a shocker, but, after an entire summer of being the most stubborn human being on this planet and refusing to do anything that all you have told me, and thinking I can do it all on my own, I am finally listening to you guys lol. I am 2 days clean now, and I am going to go to a meeting, and I went to my therapist today and I actually really enjoyed speaking to him, whereas in the past I was more just fighting against him. I am really ready to get help and stop. My relationship with my mother is at a low and I am not going to be telling her about this, but things with my dad have been going well, and I may tell him once I have some time sober. I think this is the first positive post I have written in like weeks lol, I am going to stay really committed to staying off of and away from oxycontin. I even threw out an 80mg pill today. I'm not like overly happy about this, I know i have a lot of work to do and things arent even that great, I actually have to confront my mother today about some divorce issue between her and my dad that I have been put in the middle of and forced to deal with for them. So i know things wont be super easy but i am ready to try and finally make this work.

Only bring friends to "Open" AA or NA meetings. "Closed" AA/NA meetings are for people that are addicts and alcoholics. The meeting schedule should tell you which one you're going to. If you have any more AA/NA questions..ask. I'm proud of you for taing this step. You will be amazed at the friendships you'll gain.

Yes, you can bring a friend with you, as this is what I did with my husband.
